Versions of Excel: Microsoft Excel comes in two versions. One of the versions is for the PC/Windows (Example: Excel 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019). The other version is for the Apple Mac (Example: 2004, 2008, 2011, 2016, possibly 2019). The majority of businesses, government agencies and educational institutions use the PC version. Many of the creative organizations and individuals use the Mac version of Excel.

 

You can use an Excel file created on a PC running Microsoft Windows on an Apple Mac, and visa versa, but some of the functionality may be different or missing.
